This is the Real China
After all the difficulties and obstacles, from the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895 and the ruined Old Summer Palace to the Nanjing Massacre that shocked China and the world and the sign of “ Chinese and dogs are not allowed to enter,” China is still standing in the east of the world today! The Chinese people have been fighting for their country, one after another. These experiences and humiliations have created today’s real China!
China has long experienced ups and downs and survived all difficulties with its five thousand years of wisdom. Now China has ushered into a new era.
China is one of the countries with the longest history and the largest number of world heritage sites. It boasts a splendid culture and glorious revolutionary tradition. After the “Cultural Revolution,” we carried out the policy of reform and opening up and concentrated on socialist modernization along the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Through long-term efforts, socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era.
What’s more, China is making rapid progress and development under the leadership of the CPC. Chinese modernization is the socialist modernization led by the Communist Party of China. With elements common to the modernization process of all countries, it is characterized by features that are unique to our national condition. It is particularly evident in the global epidemic. Under the leadership of the Party, the Chinese people worked together to overcome the difficulties. After three months, the epidemic has been effectively controlled, and the initial victory has been achieved.
Secondly, China’s traditional culture has also played a unique role. As a treasure of the Chinese civilization, traditional Chinese medicine has summarized effective remedies in disease prevention and treatment, focusing on the coordination of the human body’s internal and external environment, isolation and prevention, vaccination, and other measures. There are also a series of diagnosis and treatment methods for common infectious diseases with remarkable effects. Traditional Chinese medicine embodies the profound wisdom of the Chinese people and the Chinese nation. The report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China took “adhering to the principle of attaching equal importance to traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine, and inheriting and developing the cause of traditional Chinese medicine” as an important strategic deployment.
History and reality have proved that with the innovation concept, China’s wisdom has also made significant achievements in today’s globalization. The Belt and Road Initiative combines the heritage of the ancient Silk Road with the novelty of modern reform and opening up. This great decision has enabled China to move faster and become more confident and successful in diplomacy and foreign trade. It has led China to open its door wider to the outside world and ensured its rapid development and a strong economy. Here is another example. The construction of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge was impeded by a Dutch company that charged a sky-high consulting fee and disdained our construction team. However, the construction team overcame difficulties and built the bridge without foreign aid, which attracted worldwide attention.
This is the real China, a country that is growing stronger with rapid economic development and fruitful scientific and technological achievements. China will play a greater role on the world stage. The bugle of a new era has been sounded, and China will surely have a bright future.
