Hello China in 2049
From the Tiangong space station to the Tianwen Mars orbiter and rover, China’s aerospace industry is constantly creating new history. The aerospace cause has entered a new stage, and various undertakings in our country have developed rapidly. China will celebrate its centennial anniversary in 2049, a year of historical significance. What meaningful gifts shall we give to our dear motherland?
We will achieve the strategic goals put forward at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China this year. I believe that our development will be deepened, and the reform will be more extensive and thorough. China will open its door wider to the outside world and interact with other countries in more areas at a deeper level. More foreign companies will discover the infinite vitality of the Chinese market. China will also focus on implementing the strategy of developing a quality workforce, create a favorable environment for talent innovation, attract talents from all over the world, and fully stimulate the enthusiasm, initiative and creativity of the majority of scientific and technological personnel. Our “one country, two systems” policy will also achieve great success in realizing the centenary goal of reunifying the Chinese nation and tightening the bonds among people on both sides of the strait. We will see considerable progress in promoting Chinese culture, world peace and development, and building a community with a shared future for mankind. The objective of building a prosperous, strong, democratic, harmonious, and beautiful modern socialist country will also be achieved. Young people will have a stronger sense of responsibility and work hard to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The Party and the people will unite as one and strive to achieve the goal of the next hundred years.
The Party will still adhere to the people-centered development philosophy. More and more people will recognize Chinese culture, as the country continues to promote the development of traditional craftsmanship, and enhance people’s sense of participation and recognition. We will correctly grasp the relationship between protection and utilization, and inheritance and innovation, encourage the creativity of artisans, find the connection between traditional culture and modern life, and promote the further development, long-term protection and sustainable utilization of traditional craftsmanship. We will encourage government departments and civil society to organize relevant training and exchange activities. We will support cultural inheritors to actively carry out skills training, encourage more people to participate in the protection and inheritance of traditional craftsmanship, and build a specific foundation to train high-quality technical and skilled talents. We will support inheritors of intangible cultural heritage in improving their skills and aesthetics and provide them with opportunities to participate in academic seminars, technical exchanges, advanced studies, and major national tasks, etc., which will also be conducive to enhancing their integrity, innovation and morality. Skilled artisans will create excellent works that embody the spirit of Chinese culture, reflect the aesthetic pursuit of Chinese people, and spread contemporary Chinese values. The R&D investment will enjoy steady and rapid growth and further display the innovation effect. Energy saving and emission reduction will achieve new results, and the innovation environment will be significantly optimized.
With a population of more than one billion, China will achieve socialist modernization in 2049, and the country will become more prosperous and robust and its people happier. Clean governance, economic and cultural development, social stability, people’s unity, and environmental protection will be improved. The baton of history has been passed into our hands, and we must work hard to run it well. The road of making this dream come true lies ahead of us. With goals, opportunities, and determination, all our dreams can be realized.
I believe that with the joint efforts of the Party and the people, our lives in 2049 will be even better. At the same time, we need to grasp the present, work towards the Party’s strategic goals, stay committed to our mission, and continue to forge ahead.
